Earlier this month, Andrew Cook the proud owner of Just Shutters Cornwall & Devon took on an extraordinary personal challenge, he completed a 30-mile Ultra Marathon in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
For Andrew, this wasn’t just a test of endurance; it was about pushing himself beyond his comfort zone for a cause that truly mattered.
The Ultra Marathon was Andrew’s first, and a huge leap from his usual weekend runs along the Cornish coast. Months of determined training led up to race day and his effort paid off.
Not only did he cross the finish line with determination but he did so in style, finishing an incredible 76th out of 566 runners! He also surpassed his fundraising goal, raising vital awareness and funds for a charity that supports young people and their families during some of the most difficult times imaginable.
As Andrew said:
“I’m taking part in the Run to the Sea 30 Mile Ultra Marathon and at the same time trying to raise as much money as I can for the Teenage Cancer Trust for the incredible work they do and the support that they provide.”
