At Just Shutters, employee development is about more than training courses and qualifications. It is about creating opportunities for people to grow, take on new challenges and build rewarding careers.

Several members of our team have progressed significantly during their time with the business. Lucy Waldron joined Just Shutters in a Business Support role and, after three years with the company, was promoted to Business Support Manager in October 2023. Marketing Manager Livvy Gusman joined Just Shutters in 2016 before moving into marketing in 2020 and later progressing to lead the department. More recently, Nick Sumbler’s role has expanded to become Head of Franchise Growth & Support, reflecting both his contribution to the business and our commitment to recognising and developing talent from within.

We continue to invest in the future growth of our team. Digital & Social Media Executive Anna Racaza is currently undertaking external training to further develop her skills, while Commercial Manager Lauren Sumbler has recently joined the business and will play an important role in helping develop both our people and the wider business in the years ahead.

Every new franchise partner benefits from comprehensive initial training, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to launch their business successfully. That support continues long after training is complete, with ongoing coaching, operational guidance, marketing support and access to an experienced network that is invested in helping each business owner succeed.

To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Development List, Great Place To Work® analysed confidential employee feedback alongside a detailed assessment of workplace culture and development opportunities. Only organisations achieving the highest scores are recognised as Best Workplaces™.

The recognition is particularly meaningful because it is based on the experiences of our own people. Through anonymous employee feedback, our team highlighted the supportive culture, opportunities for growth and commitment to continuous improvement that exist throughout the business.
