Last weekend, our team spent two busy days at the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, and we were delighted to meet so many people thinking about their next step in business.
Two days of great conversations
From the moment the doors opened, our stand was full of people with thoughtful questions. Some were just beginning to explore franchising, while others had already done plenty of research and wanted to know how a Just Shutters business works day to day.
We talked about what it’s like to run a business with an established name behind you, backed by 20 years of experience, and how our franchisees are supported from their very first day. We also covered the training they receive and the support that continues long after launch.
Lauren on the British Franchise Association panel
A highlight of the weekend was Lauren, our Commercial Manager, taking part in a British Franchise Association panel on the franchise recruitment process. Choosing a franchise is a big decision, so it was a great opportunity to share what prospective franchisees can expect along the way.
Lauren said: “What a great experience being part of a panel talk at the Franchise Show! I genuinely loved having the opportunity to sit on the panel and talk about something I’m so passionate about. Being able to share real experiences, ideas and insights, while hearing different perspectives from others on the panel, really brought that passion to life.”
A positive energy throughout
Away from the panel, the show itself was a real pleasure. Lauren added: “The show itself was great fun. What stood out to me was meeting so many different people, from all kinds of backgrounds and at different stages of their journey, but with one thing in common, they were exploring ways to take control of their future, become their own boss and build something for themselves.
“There was such a positive energy throughout the event, and it was brilliant speaking with like-minded individuals who all brought different levels of experience, knowledge and exposure to franchising. Informative, inspiring and a lot of fun, definitely something I’d love to do again!”
We came away from Birmingham with plenty of fresh ideas, and our team is looking forward to putting them to good use over the coming months.
